Hamilton man wanted following several attacks involving a machete

Hamilton police are looking for a man who is wanted for three violent crimes involving a machete.

Police say 31 year old Zaya Damerchie of Hamilton threatened a woman at a home near Barton and Ottawa streets yesterday morning and then damaged and stole property. Police say Damerchie was at the same home on January 12th where he threatened a man with a machete before a woman intervened.

The 31 year old is also accused of assault after police say he stabbed a man back on December 7th. The victim suffered a laceration to his arm and police say Damerchie took off.

Police consider Damerchie armed and dangerous.  If you spot him you are asked to contact 911 immediately.
