Hamilton man charged after Toronto magic mushroom shop raided

A Hamilton resident is one of two men facing charges after a magic mushroom store was busted in Toronto on Saturday.

Toronto Police executed a search warrant over the weekend and seized a large quantity of magic mushrooms from a business called “Shroomyz”, located at 488 Queen St. West in Toronto.

Officers recovered dried psilocybin, psilocybin derived edibles (magic mushrooms), as well as cash believed to be proceeds of crime.

Fabricio Osores, 20, of Hamilton is charged with possession of a schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.

Seyon Tharmathasan, 23, of Toronto is facing the exact same two charges.

The pair are scheduled to appear in a Toronto courtroom in January.
