Hamilton man arrested for uttering death threats towards students

A Hamilton man has been arrested after making death threats towards students at a local secondary school.

On Tuesday, Hamilton police arrested an 18-year-old man after he made violent threats directed at students of Nora Frances Henderson Secondary School, as well as a business located near Upper Wentworth Street and Mohawk Road.

Officers say that the threats included hateful, biased language.

Authorities were able to arrest the man without incident and say there is no threat to public safety.

The man is being charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
