Hamilton man arrested for stabbing his brother: police

A man has been arrested for stabbing his brother at an east end home, Hamilton police say.

Police were called to a report of an assault at a home in the area of Quigley Rd. and Angus Rd. around 1:30 a.m. Friday.

Officers found a man in his mid-40s who appeared to have been stabbed. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A 48-year-old man, who is victim’s brother, was arrested at the scene.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and criminal charges are not being released yet.

A police presence is expected in the area for much of Friday morning.
