Hamilton Magazine shuts down after four decades

The company that publishes ‘Hamilton Magazine’ has shut down.

The magazine had been in publication for more than 40 years and told stories to Hamiltonians, about Hamiltonians.

Phyllise Gelfand of PostMedia says, “we’ve stopped publication of Hamilton Magazine, Hamilton Business, and Vine and it was a business decision, not taken easily of course, but the publications weren’t profitable.”

Hamilton Magazine employed three people. Two of them lost their jobs, the other was reassigned to a different position with Postmedia.
