A fire at a home in Hamilton over the weekend has resulted in more than $500,000 worth of damages to the property.

Emergency responders were called to the home on St. Clair Boulevard on Saturday night.

Crews arrived to find a well-involved fire and say heavy smoke filled the second and third floors of the building.

No injuries have been reported and officials say the house was vacant at the time of the incident.

While the cause of the fire has not been determined, Fire Chief Dave Cunliffe says that the Ontario Fire Marshal has been notified due to the nature of the blaze.
