A structure fire at a Hamilton home has left nobody injured and about $100,000 worth of damages.
On Tuesday at around 7:43 p.m., fire crews responded to a reported structure blaze in the area of Bridgeport Crescent.
Crews say this incident involved a report of smoke coming from the exterior bricks and smoke from the eaves.
Upon arrival, fire crews reported that there appeared to be smoke coming from a fire in the wall at one of the corners of the home.
Fire officials say the interior of the home was clear of smoke and fire. Interior walls were opened on the main floor, the second floor, basement and the attic to extinguish the fire found in the walls.
Crews say the suspected cause was the homeowner using an open flame from a propane torch on the exterior of the home.
