Hamilton homicide

Hamilton Police are investigating a murder in the city’s east end.

Louis Malone, 49, was shot a number of times by a man with a shotgun. When witnesses ran up to help Malone he was dead.

Witnesses say the fight began on Robins Avenue near Cannon Street early in the morning. Malone was then followed by two men in a silver Dodge Ram pickup truck.

The driver pulled up beside him on Kenilworth Avenue at Hope Avenue. The passenger got out and fired a shot gun at Malone.

Witnesses say they heard as many as five shots.

Hamilton Police have not made any arrests and have not provided any information on any suspects.
