Hamilton hits single-day COVID-19 vaccination record

Hamilton says it administered 10,153 COVID-19 vaccine doses Wednesday, a new single-day record.
Hamilton Public Health says partners include Hamilton Health Sciences, St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, Hamilton Paramedic Services, primary care partners, local pharmacies and community organizations.
Yesterday, Hamilton was able to administer 10,153 COVID-19 vaccine doses to residents across the community, a new single-day record.

The city says it redeployed 164 staff to help scale up local COVID-19 vaccine capacity.
Hamilton confirms that 73 employees are currently away from work, due to illness or isolation and quarantine protocol.
Hamilton’s medical officer of health predicted that it will take until January to administer third doses to all residents who opt to do so.
