Hamilton police posted on social media Wednesday afternoon a photo of a vehicle travelling 117 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.
Officers say it happened on King St. West in the City of Hamilton on Monday, when the stopped driver allegedly told them they were “travelling faster because they were late for a baseball game.”
The driver had their license suspended and the vehicle impounded.
They will also receive a fine that could between $2,000 and $10,000 if convicted.
