Hamilton demo brought up in Parliament

A weekend march that brought thousands to Hamilton’s city hall was being discussed in the House of Commons Monday.

The rally was in support of U.S. Steel workers who have been locked out for more than eleven weeks. The lockout was imposed after the workers rejected the company’s demand for pension concessions. During Question Period, Hamilton mountain NDP MP Chris Charlton called on the government to protect Canadian pensions.
