Hamilton couple charged with animal cruelty

A Hamilton couple faces three counts of animal cruelty following a six month investigation.

The Hamilton Burlington SPCA says a man brought a dog to the shelter, claiming he’d found it. It was in such medical distress that it had to be euthanized.

An investigation revealed the man was the owner of the dog. He and his wife have been charged with animal cruelty, and they’re set to appear in court today.
