Hamilton community celebrates St. Patrick’s Day

Hamilton police are stepping up patrols around McMaster University for the weekend, aiming to keep a lid on any rowdy St. Patrick’s Day parties.

Worried about large, unsanctioned parties like the ones from years past, the city is reminding students about its city-wide nuisance party bylaw.

The city is also teaming with police to implement the University District Safety Initiative in Westdale, promising more patrols over the weekend and zero-tolerance enforcement.
