Hamilton Bulldogs beat Windsor Spitfires to win OHL championship

The Hamilton Bulldogs beat the Windsor Spitfires 6-1 last night to win the Ontario Hockey League championship at FirstOntario Centre.
Their victory also secured them a spot in the Memorial Cup, which starts Monday in Saint John, New Brunswick.
This was the first time in five years that the Bulldogs played a Game 7 match.
Bulldogs’ forward Avery Hayes scored three goals, Mason McTavish got two for Hamilton and Jan Mysak also scored for the Bulldogs.
Alex Christopoulos scored the only goal for Windsor in the third period.
The Hamilton Bulldogs are among four teams playing for the Memorial Cup, including the Edmonton Oil Kings, Shawinigan Cataractes and Saint John Sea Dogs.
The Bulldogs will face the Sea Dogs on opening night at TD Station.
