Halton police seize $1.5 million in opium, cocaine following drug trafficking investigation

Halton police say they’ve seized $1.5 million in opium and cocaine after a lengthy drug trafficking investigation. 

On Feb. 9, Halton police officers executed search warrants at two locations and one vehicle. 

During the search, the following items were seized: 

  • 36 kilograms of opium 
  • 20 kilograms of cocaine 
  • $15,000 – $20,000 of bundled Canadian currency 

Aden Zedan, 22, of Toronto has been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
