Halton police lay multiple charges in relation to break and enters and vehicle thefts in Oakville

Halton police have arrested a suspect in relation to a series of night time break and enters and high end auto thefts.

The break and enters, as well as the auto thefts occurred in the summer and fall of 2021 in Oakville.

Police say the same suspect was also identified as being responsible for four additional night time break and enters and the theft of a vehicle in 2022.

On July 18, the suspect was located and arrested by police at a hotel in Mississauga. A known associate of the suspect was also arrested at the time. Police say both were in possession of a stolen Ford truck at the time of their arrests and also possessed a loaded firearm.

Deshaun Daley, 19, has been charged with multiple offences including break and enter & commit, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a firearm among others.

Jaidyn Young, 22, has been charged with multiple offences including possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 among others.
