Halton police arrest two in connection with gym locker and vehicle thefts in Burlington

Halton police have laid multiple charges in relation to a series of gym locker thefts which began in June.
Police say the suspects would break into lockers, steal the contents within, then they would steal vehicles from the parking lot and use the stolen credit cards at nearby stores. The suspects have also been identified for additional offences across the region and neighbouring jurisdictions.
On August 16, the suspects were located and arrested by police at a hotel in Cambridge. During the arrest, the suspects were in possession of a stolen Kia motor vehicle. Each suspect also had a quantity of methamphetamine and fentanyl.
As a result 23-year-old Taylor Gillard and 36-year-old Michael Salverda have been charged with multiple offences.
