Halton increasing red light cams

(Corrected) Get ready for more red light cameras in Halton region.

The camera at Dundas and Brant in Burlington is only one of a few red light cameras currently in the region. Another is in Oakville, at the corner of Trafalgar and Upper Middle.

Halton region will install 10 more cameras this year and in 2013.

In a survey, almost half of the drivers in Halton say they worry about getting into a crash when driving through an intersection.

Editor’s note: The number of cameras to be installed will actually total 10 over the next two years. An earlier version had incorrectly stated that 10 would be installed this year, and another 10 in 2013.
