Halton Butter Tart Festival sees 20 different butter tart varieties

The best bakers in the region gathered in Milton today for the fifth installment of the Halton Butter Tart Festival.

The event was held at Country Heritage Park with more than a dozen different kinds of butter tarts available for tasting.

Santa Claus even made an appearance at the festival to pose for photos and say hi to children.

Organizer Pat Cluett says there were multiple different titles being awarded, as judges chose their top three, and attendees voted for the fan favourites.

This was the first year for the festival to be held at Country Heritage Park and organizers hope to return to this venue again next year after having such a successful attendance.
