Hall of Fame night in Hamilton

Nine more inductees will be welcomed into the Hamilton Sports Hall of Fame tonight.

Five of them will be welcomed into the hall posthumously, and four of them are here tonight to receive their much-deserved recognition. Among them are:

• the founder of the Transway girls basketball program, Doug Harrison;
• world-renowned soccer player, coach and manager John McGrane;
• former Canadian lightweight boxing champ Ed Beattie;
• and a football legend who needs very little introduction at all: Angelo Mosca

This is the third class to be inducted into the Hamilton Sports Hall of Fame, bringing the total number of honorees to 29.
