The temporary open-air burn ban that was issued for Haldimand County has been lifted.

Fire Chief Jason Gallagher states that even with the recent rainfall, fire safety measures should still be followed when enjoying a recreational fire.

Open fires are still not permitted when winds exceed 20 km/h.
