An 18-year-old gunman killed 19 children and two adults Tuesday at a Texas elementary school for kids in grades two to four.

The attack added to a gruesome, yearslong series of mass killings at stores, schools and churches.

A law enforcement official said the attacker was killed by a Border Patrol agent who hurried into the school without waiting for backup.

The assault at Robb Elementary School in the primarily Latino town of Uvalde was the deadliest shooting at a U.S. school since a gunman killed 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut, in December 2012.

U.S. President Joe Biden is calling for new restrictions on firearms after yesterday’s school shooting massacre.

Biden said from the White House last night that after years of failure to pass new gun laws, America needs to take action.

Just last week Biden met with victims’ families after a hate-motivated shooter killed 10 Black people at a grocery store in Buffalo, New York.
