Guelph charity auctions off jersey signed by Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift
A local charity in Guelph is benefiting from the star power of one of the biggest couples in pop culture.
A jersey signed by Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce from the Kansas City Chiefs and his superstar girlfriend Taylor Swift is being auctioned off.
Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs number 87 football jersey will benefit the Guelph Wish Fund for Children charity.
Jessica Hill from Guelph Wish Fund for Children says, “anything that can generate money for Guelph Wish Fund for Children, it’s incredible because ultimately all that money raised goes to the children in our community, to grant them wishes to make their lives happier- it’s been very heartwarming and moving to say the least”.

The jersey will be auctioned off as part of the Curling for Kids Bonspiel Fundraiser taking place on Saturday, Feb. 17, in Guelph.
The Linamar Corporation has donated signed sports memorabilia for prior events and has raised over $420,000 in the past.
Helen Loftin, Guelph Wish Fund for Children says, “we have had a great deal of interest in it, it kind of went crazy, it’s just such a timely thing. Between the Superbowl and Grammy’s and Taylor Swift tour, everything is just all coming together right now to make this particular jersey, we certainly hope worth some big bucks.”

The jersey was given to the fundraiser by someone with connections to the NFL.
According to Loftin, the jersey comes with a letter of authenticity and a sort of marking similar to a badge or sticker on the jersey that indicates it has been authenticated.
The money raised from the auction will be split between the Guelph Wish Fund for Children and two charities in the Halton Area. The Oakville Fair Share Food Bank and the Halton Women’s Crisis Shelter.
Anyone interested in bidding on the signed football player’s jersey can do so by going to the auction website, and bidding officially closes on Sunday.
