There is growing frustration with delays in COVID-19 vaccine shipments from Pfizer-BioNTech.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford calls the production delays unacceptable and bluntly says Pfizer is messing up.

Ford, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Toronto Mayor John Tory have all reached out to top officials within the drug-making company.

Still, the news is the same, no vaccines next week and only a fifth of the original order the following week.

Ontario reported 15,899 new vaccinations administered on Thursday for a total of 253,817 doses given.

A total of 277,050 doses of the vaccine have been delivered so far, enough to give 1.9 per cent of its population a single dose.

The province has used 91.61 per cent of its available vaccine supply.
