Groundhog Day

Weather forecasters took a backseat to the groundhog this morning as many awaited the marmot’s annual prediction.

In Ontario, Wiarton Willie predicting another six weeks of winter. Pennsylvania’s Punxsutawney Phil agreed.  Nova Scotia’s famed Shubenacadie Sam didn’t see his shadow which means an early spring.

But as Kelly Noseworthy found out, human accuracy may not be much better when it comes to long-term forecasting.
