Downtown Grimsby has launched the Construction Passport program, a new loyalty initiative to reward customers for supporting downtown businesses while construction is underway.
Running from Monday to Sept. 30, participants can collect stamps for the chance to win one of eight prizes from over 30 participating businesses, including a $1,000 grand prize.
Customers with a qualifying purchase of $20 or more before taxes will receive one stamp from each participating business.
Once participants collect eight different stamps, they can complete their contact information and drop off their passport at any participating business for a chance to win.
The city says there is no limit to the number of passports that can be submitted throughout the campaign. This provides participants with multiple opportunities to enter the prize draw.
In addition to the $1,000 grand prize, there are three $200 prizes and four $25 prizes, all awarded as gift cards to participating downtown businesses.
Phase one of the Downtown Reimagined project will run until the end of October, but downtown Grimsby remains open to the public during this construction.
