Halton police have charged and arrested a Grimsby man in connection with a human trafficking investigation.

A joint investigation between Peel police and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) led to the discovery that two women had been trafficked by the same man throughout Ontario since 2024.

Officers say the women were forced to constantly work, and were in fear for their personal safety.

The man responsible reportedly used coercion, manipulation, physical violence and psychological harm to maintain control over the women while he benefitted financially from the exploitation.
