There was surprise in the courtroom as the 12 person jury read aloud that Greg Dalley was found not guilty in the July 2012 death of 2 year old Noah Keizer, a toddler that he had been babysitting at the time. There were plenty of tears and gasps in the courtroom as that not guilty verdict was read. The jury had been deliberating since 11 am Tuesday, and had returned to the courtroom twice to ask questions – including a definition on the legal description of manslaughter.
Members of Noah’s family were visibly upset by this decision The little boy’s father Lee Keizer, was hoping for a second degree murder conviction “I guess we’ll go for the appeal and whatever happens then, we’ll just go from there” he went on to describe Noah as “the greatest kid in the world, all smiles, he loved everyone.”
Greg Dalley was released from custody for the first time in 33 months. “I’m feeling very relieved that this is all over now.”
