Greek strikes continue

Greek transportation workers are back on strike today.

Metro stations and tram platforms sat empty in Athens.

This is the sixth strike in two weeks by transportation workers upset over the government’s austerity measures.

The streets of Athens are also filled with garbage and other debris due to a separate strike by sanitation workers.

Facing a possible default, Greece’s government has put in place a number of highly unpopular cost saving measures.
