Grandma busted for arms smuggling

A grandmother from Mississauga has been arrested and charged with arms smuggling, after police in Mumbai found up to 38 rounds of live ammunition in her luggage.
Irene Mathias, 59, was preparing to return to Canada after a two-week visit, when she was arrested at a Mumbai airport last Tuesday. She was jailed for three days and had her passport seized.
When police asked Mathias where the bullets came from, she said they may belong to her daughter Charlene, who has a hunting licence. However, the family claims that Charlene never owned that kind of ammunition.
