And So It Goes

And So It Goes is the newest romantic comedy from director Rob Reiner (When Harry Met Sally, The Princess Bride). Michael Douglas stars as Oren Little a widowed real estate agent who is living out the rest of his days in the waterfront condo building he owns. His neighbours have all formed a nice community together, but Oren is quite happy on his own. Then one day his estranged son drops by and asks Oren to take care of his grand-daughter – who he didn’t even know existed – for a little while. Not knowing how to handle life with a child, Oren turns to one of his friendlier neighbours, Leah (Diane Keaton), for help, which sends them both down a road of self-discovery.

Rob Reiner knows isn’t afraid to stick with what he’s good at, and that seems to be romantic comedies. “I basically make the same movie over and over again,” he admits. “The woman is always more advanced and more developed and emotionally able. And the man is like an idiot running around, trying to figure it all out, until he realizes that he should be with the woman.”

And So It Goes is rated PG.
