Travellers on the GO Transit Lakeshore East line should expect significant delays after a Via Rail train struck a small snowplow in Scarborough on Thursday afternoon.
In a post on X, Toronto police say they received reports shortly before 2 p.m. of the collision in the area of Scarborough Golf Club and Kingston roads.
No injuries have been reported.
There is no word yet on the cause of the collision.

GO Transit says in a statement on its website that crews are working to clear the scene in order to resume regular service.
“At this time we are limited to using only one track between Eglinton GO and Guildwood GO,” reads the statement.
“Trains will continue to be delayed travelling through the area. In addition to delays please also anticipate trip modifications and possible cancellations as we work to keep trains moving.”
Police have closed Scarborough Golf Club Road between Dale Avenue and Confederation Drive as clean-up continues.
