Today thousands of GO train commuters were delayed, due to a computer glitch that slowed down the morning commute.
It was a hurry up and wait kind of morning for commuters here and in the GTA.
GO transit says the issues were cased by a CN computer failure that controls the signals and switches. Commuters taking the Lakeshore lines east and west, Stouffville and Richmond Hill lines were affected.
Trains were back up and running by the end of the morning but there were earlier delays of upwards of an hour. And while there were a whole lot of frustrated commuters there were also some that said they weren’t going to let it affect their Friday.
GO transit will provide a refund for those people who had to wait today. They refund for delays over 15 minutes if they determine the delay was their responsibility.
