GO bus crash at Union Station

A GO bus crashed into Union Station’s bus terminal early Monday afternoon and caused huge delays. The bus mounted the curbed platform and became lodged under the passenger awning with the front window smashed. It is not clear how it happened, but no passengers were on the bus at the time. The driver was not injured.

All afternoon buses departing from Union were cancelled and commuters were asked to take a train instead. The terminal is expected to partially re-open, GO Transit says the building is structurally fine, but the three platforms where the crash occurred, will not be in use for a bit longer. All commuters are asked to check gotransit.com for any delays.
