Gas leak clears schools

A natural gas leak in a house on Hamilton mountain has prompted the evacuation and dismissal of two schools near Mohawk and Upper Wentworth.

Linden Park Junior Public School has been evacuated, with students relocated to Franklin Road School. Parents can pick up their children there.

Students have also been dismissed at nearby Hill Park Secondary School. Repairs to this gas leak required the power to be turned off at that school.

The fire department and Union Gas are on scene investigating the leak.
