Funeral today for mall collapse victim

The obituary notice for one of the women killed in Elliot Lake says Doloris Perizzolo will be missed by her family and her faithful canine companion Maggie.

74 year old Perozzolo will be buried at Woodlands Cemetery in Elliot Lake today. She and 37 year old Lucie Aylwin died when the roof of the Algo Centre mall caved in. The OPP now say they are conducting a criminal investigation. That will be in addition to the public inquiry announced by premier Dalton McGuinty.

Tory MPP Christine Elliot commented on the investigation at Queen’s Park this morning, saying there are serious concerns and that there needs to be a full inquiry to prevent another tragedy.
