Funeral scheduled for 10-year-old boy killed in collision on QEW

A funeral is being held this week in Grimsby for a 10-year-old boy who was killed in a collision on the QEW in Lincoln.
The boy has been identified as Lucas Thomas of Beamsville. He was travelling in a vehicle with his mother and twin brother Ethan on Mar. 30 when they were involved in a three-vehicle collision.
The funeral service for Thomas is planned for April 6 at 1 p.m. at Lakemount Worship Centre located at 54 North Service Rd. There will be no visitation.

A GoFundMe set up by Thomas’ uncle Kevin Krestinski has raised over $26,000 of a $10,000 goal.
Krestinski says Thomas was on the Autism spectrum and describes him as an “inquisitive bright young boy”.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Rosalie, his twin brother Ethan, his sister Caitlyn and his brother Owen.
The obituary says Thomas was “a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, and his loss will be felt deeply by all who knew him.”
