Funeral for Nova Scotia teen

A funeral service was held Saturday for Rehtaeh Parsons, the 17-year old girl who killed herself after an alleged sexual assault and bullying.

More than 100 family members and friends Parsons gathered at St. Mark’s Anglican Church in Nova Scotia to say their goodbyes.

Rehtaeh was taken off life-support last week after trying to hang herself in the bathroom of her home April 4th. Her parents said she was raped by four boys in 2010 when she was 15, then bullied after photos of the attack were posted online.

On Friday, the RCMP announced it was re-opening its investigation into the Parsons case in light of new information.
