Four teens charged after speeding in stolen vehicle on Hamilton Mountain

Hamilton police have charged four teenagers after they were found speeding on Hamilton Mountain Wednesday evening in a stolen vehicle.
Officers say at around 8:30 p.m. a white Audi sedan was travelling at a high speed northbound on Upper Gage Avenue near Edwina Place.
They say an investigation revealed that the sedan was reported stolen.
Investigators had surrounded the vehicle when it came to a stop in front of a home on East 44th Street.
Police took three boys inside the car into custody from the scene. A fourth boy had tried to get away on foot but was caught and apprehended.
Officers say they found a can of bear spray in the driver-side door of the sedan.
All four boys, ranging in ages from 14 to 17 years old were arrested and charged with possessing property obtained by crime over $5,000 and for possessing a prohibited weapon.
One boy had sustained minor injuries to his feet during the foot chase and was transported to hospital as a precaution.
The four teenagers were released to the care of their guardians, and the registered owner of the stolen sedan was notified.
