Forty-four cows die in a barn fire near Waterloo

Forty-four cows have been killed in a weekend barn fire near Waterloo.

The fire erupted Saturday night in Woolwich Township. Reports say that there were 45 cows in the barn when it caught fire, and only one survived.

Investigators say they believe the fire was sparked by a hay blower.

Damage has been estimated as half a million dollars.
