Fort Erie’s Infocision closing

Infocision, a U.S. owned call centre, has announced it will close the doors of its Fort Erie location at the end of March.

The centre had been slowly laying off employees since losing one of its largest contracts, Rogers Communications.

Today’s announcement is just the latest in a long string of bad news stories for workers in the border town.
The closure of wind turbine manufacturer DMI Industries, drugmaker Patheon, Vertis Communications’ printing plant, and the cancellation of the Slots-at-Racetracks program have all dealt major blows to Fort Erie’s workforce.
