Fort Erie vehicle collision leads to firearms and drugs charges

A Fort Erie man has been charged with possession of various illicit drugs and a restricted firearm following a motor vehicle collision early yesterday morning.
Niagara police were called to a single-vehicle collision in the area of Garrison Road and Helena Street in Fort Erie shortly before 5 a.m. to discover that the grey Buick involved had drugs and a firearm inside.
As a result of the investigation, Ardon Chamberlain, 21, was charged with a number of criminal offences, including possession and careless storage of a Glock (semi-automatic) firearm and possession of fentanyl, cocaine, oxycodone and cannabis totalling an estimated $18,000.
