Former Queen’s Park correspondent speaks on the passing of Bill 5

CHCH News anchor Adam Akinson spoke with former Queen’s Park correspondent Keith Leslie to break down the action surrounding the passing of Bill 5.
The new law allows the Ontario government to suspect provincial and municipal rules, intended to speed up building projects, but has seen protests and advocates arguing against it.
Akinson asked what the passing of such a controversial bill means for the province.
Leslie also spoke about motion that was tabled by Niagara Centre MPP Jeff Burch to eliminate hospital parking fees in the province, and why he thought the Ford government voted it down.
Leslie gave his thoughts on the boosts in pay that Ontario MPPs will receive and their new access to a pension plan.
