Former nurse pleads guilty to 8 counts of first-degree murder

Former nurse Elizabeth Wettlaufer plead guilty Thursday to all 14 charges against her including eight counts of first degree murder. The 49 year old admitted to using insulin to kill eight seniors and hurt six others in her care at nursing homes where she worked in Woodstock and London. In an agreed statement of facts Wettlaufer said she was angry with her job and with her life.
Family and friends of the victims broke down as the proceedings unfolded in a Woodstock court room. Lisa Hepfner was in court and has more including video of Wettlaufer’s police confession.
