Flyers concerned about reliability of air travel

The federal government has stalled plans for Air Canada flight attendants to walk off the job Thursday.

Labour minister Lisa Raitt says the government has asked the Canada Industrial Relations Board to intervene. That prevents the threatened strike, and buys the government time to pass back-to-work legislation.

That comes after passengers traveling through Pearson Airport faced more delays, as security screeners employed by Garda continued their illegal work-to-rule campaign.

As Melissa Raftis reports, there is growing concern among some passengers about the reliability of air travel.
