(Update)

Even though the extreme cold snap is coming to an end travellers at Pearson International Airport are being met with more delays and flight cancellations Wednesday evening.

More than 600 flights were cancelled Tuesday and Wednesday there are about 400 cancellations to arriving and departing flights. On top of that there are hundreds of delayed flights, with some arriving 12 hours behind schedule.

The airport continues to deal with the backlog from yesterday, but the airport seems a lot less busy today. That’s because the airport cancelled about 50 per cent of its usual flight traffic for today.
