Callum Wallace from Oakville held his first fundraising event for an ambitious solo flight around the world. The money raised will go to a local non-profit that empowers single-parent families.

Wallace plans to stop in 26 different countries over three months. The goal is to raise $1 million for Home Suite Hope a non-profit based out of Oakville supporting single-parent families from homelessness to self-sufficiency.

Wallace’s Flight for Hope launched at Burlington executive airport today. Attendees came to learn about his journey and donate to the cause. “Aviation is a huge passion of mine, and I’ve always loved flying. I’ve wanted to challenge myself, take that, and do it for somebody else,” Wallace said.

People at the event were able to get a little taste of what Wallace’s journey will look like with a 15-minute plane ride.

Wallace’s Flight for Hope is set to take the skies in May 2023.
