About 100 people came from all across the region to bust a move in a flash dance mob at Jackson Square Saturday afternoon featuring “Jed the dancing guy.”
The flash mob is part of a music video shoot for Burlington band, Beautiful Nothing and their song, “Finer things,” their second single off the bands self titled debut album.
“We thought it would be a really fun day,” lead singer, Anthony Ludgate said “we’d get a bunch of people together in front of Jackson Square and have everyone have a big dance together with ‘the dancing guy.’”
The band said that Jed was perfect to have in the video, because the inspiring video needed an inspiring character.
Jed Lifeson –or “Jed the dancing guy” has been boogying his way into people’s hearts for 11 years.
Lifeson doesn’t walk, he dances his way through life, but it hasn’t always been easy for the dancer.
“Not every day do I feel joyist,” Lifeson said “but I keep pushing… I have faith.”
After years of being on Ontario works he has a trade, a new job and wants to dance across Canada.
Beautiful Nothing hopes to be touring across Canada someday soon, their video shoot on Saturday is expected to be released in the next few weeks.
