Hamilton EMS says a 5-year-old boy is in hospital after being hit by a car in Dundas on Friday.

Paramedics say the child was riding his bicycle and he was hit in the area of Cross Street near King Street and was dragged a distance.

The boy was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
