Fire near historic church

One person is in hospital after a multiple alarm fire at a house in Hamilton.

The blaze started here on the third floor of the Wilson Street duplex near Wentworth Street around 10 Thursday morning. Seven people were inside the duplex when the fire started. No word yet on how the fire started or damages.
Fire crews were also called to another, less serious, fire down the street. That fire started in the basement of the home.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office has been called in to investigate both fires.
